The fort is divided into a main body and a protective stone embankment. The protective stone embankment extends north-south in a narrow and long shape. The main body of the fort is located next to the Water Pool Park, built of granite. The northern stone embankment is constructed with coral stone and rammed earth, with embrasures and a gate to block water. It is a municipal-designated historic site, different from the Western-style modern forts of Eternal Golden Castle. It is currently the most well-preserved representative work of late-period Chinese-style old forts.
