Baoen Hall. Built in the 11th year of Xianfeng (1861 AD), located in Youyingpu, Dong'anfang, the then prefectural capital. It is the ancestral hall of the Xian Tian sect of vegetarianism. It was a simple thatched hut when it was first built and was rebuilt in the 5th year of Tongzhi (1866 AD). In the 12th year of Guangxu (1888 AD), believers rebuilt it with tiles and stone structures for permanence. In the 29th year of Meiji (1896 AD), the Japanese requisitioned Baoen Hall to build the Tainan Hospital. The supervisor, Zheng Liangmo, used the compensation and donations from believers to relocate it to the current site. Tainan Baoen Hall is known as 'the most beautiful traditional wooden building in Tainan'.
