The Southern Gate section of the remains has been renovated according to ancient methods, largely restoring its original appearance. Additionally, a section exposing its internal structure has been specially preserved for viewing, making it extremely valuable. The current remains of the Southern Gate section of the city wall run east-west. The section along the wall of Tainan Girls' Senior High School is about eighty meters long and over four meters high, making it a relatively well-preserved section. Its exterior clearly shows it was built using rammed earth according to ancient techniques.
