Anping Haitou Community Wei Residence. The Haitou Community Wei Residence is the ancestral home of the descendants of Wei Dayou, a deputy general of the Qing Dynasty navy. It was originally located in front of the Wenlong Temple plaza in Haitou Community, facing east to west. During the Japanese colonial period, it was rebuilt on its current site due to various reasons, and its orientation was changed to north to south. The Anping Haitou Community Wei Residence features a single-extension layout, a common residential type found in Anping's alleys. It is primarily a brick structure with oyster shell lime plaster on the walls and a hard-ridge roof with a swallowtail ridge. The original entrance had a wall gate, but it has since been damaged. The main hall has a traditional layout, with a plaque above the door inscribed with "Jingxing Qingyun." To the left, a small arched doorway leads outside, while the eastern side primarily houses bedrooms. This is a very typical residential style in Anping, and the single-extension design has become a design element now incorporated into new residential buildings. It is an unmissable old house to explore when visiting Anping's alleys.
