Tainan Art Museum (Original Tainan City Police Department / Original Japanese-era Tainan Police Station). Co-designed and constructed by architect Shih Chao-yong and Pritzker Prize-winning Shigeru Ban Architects. The main building was originally the Tainan Police Station, completed in 1931, and is a designated historic site in Tainan City. It was designed by Tainan Prefecture engineer Sutejiro Mezawa at the time, and is an eclectic Art Deco style building. Within the museum's space, which blends old and new, it exhibits works by local Tainan artists and other important artists from different regions, with the goal of aesthetic education and providing diverse artistic activities.
