The Baogong School Main Building was built in 1938. The school's name comes from its administrative district, Bao District, hence the pronunciation of the school name as "Bao" Gong School rather than "Baogong" School, which often causes confusion for visitors. During the Japanese colonial period, Baogong School was the largest and most modern public school in Tainan City. Its architectural style is very unique. The main building has an L-shaped floor plan, with a chamfered corner forming the central body, where the entrance and main staircase are located. The ends house administrative spaces and classrooms. It is now the Zhongxiao Building of Liren Elementary School and a symbol of the school's spirit for its teachers and students. When passing by Ximen Road, take a moment to admire this beautiful and special building.
