The auditorium was designed and supervised by the Construction Section of the then-Taiwan Governor-General's Office. It adopts a rare Romanesque architectural style, similar to the College of Liberal Arts at National Taiwan University. The exterior looks as magnificent as a European church, with exquisite columns and decorations, exuding a strong academic style. The main building section is an L-shaped building designed by the Tainan Prefecture Construction Section, known as the Red House by the teachers and students of Tainan First Senior High School.
