Mr. Chu Chiu-ying, former director of the Salt Administration of the Ministry of Finance, was named after settling here because of salt. The building features an exhibition of Mr. Chu Chiu-ying's contemporary Yan-style calligraphy. As a renowned calligrapher, he left behind many works. He lived in Anping for his later years and called himself the "Elder of Anping."
