Ba Weng Village is colloquially known as Ba Lao Ye by the residents of Liuying and has always been a very important milk-producing area in Taiwan. With the decline of the first generation of dairy farmers and changes in the industry, the number of dairy farms in Ba Lao Ye has gradually decreased. Some of these have transformed into tourist farms, and Ba Lao Ye Ranch is one of them. The ranch is no longer primarily focused on production; instead, it features a restaurant and sells dairy products. There are not many dairy cows in the lush green outdoor ranch; the few remaining are mainly for visitors to experience milking and feeding them grass. The other animals on the ranch are cute and friendly, such as donkeys, alpacas, rabbits, and sheep. These gentle animals are very healthy and lively under the care of the farm and are very approachable. Visitors who have been here often feel healed by the brief, intimate interactions with these animals.
