Yanshui River Estuary Wetland. This wetland is located at the mouth of the Yanshui River, adjacent to Zone A2 of Sihchao Wetland to the north, starting from the north dike of the Yanshui River Drainage, extending south to the Anping Dike, and bounded by Provincial Highway No. 17 and Dagang Viewing Bridge to the east. The western sea area extends to the 6-meter isobath. The total area is 635 hectares. In recent years, intermediate egrets have been breeding in the coastal areas of southwestern Taiwan, establishing new populations. Nesting of great egrets and intermediate egrets has also been observed in the mangrove area at the mouth of the Yanshui River in Tainan City. In addition, Volume 58 of the Bulletin of the Museum of Taiwan reported the collection of a new species of bivalve, *Corbicula taiwanensis*, at this river mouth. The ecological resources within include: Endangered species: Oriental stork, Black-faced spoonbill; Precious and rare species: Eastern marsh harrier, Osprey, Common kestrel, Little tern, Taiwan hwamei; Species to be conserved: Rufous-tailed shrike, *Anoectochilus formosanus*.
