The pier features a viewing platform and visitor service center, and is also another major hub for taking bamboo rafts across the lagoon. You can take a boat to Wangzailiao Sandbar or Dingtoue Sandbar, enjoying the lagoon's ecosystem during the journey, with diverse wildlife such as fiddler crabs, water birds, and mangroves. Besides appreciating the breathtaking lagoon, oyster rafts, and sandbar scenery, some parts of the lagoon are only knee-deep. When the raft gets grounded, you can disembark to the beach to look for shells and admire fiddler crabs, embarking on a Cigu Lagoon ecological tour. The entire trip takes about 2 hours, like a real-life nature classroom. As dusk approaches, small animals return to their nests, and the bamboo raft glides across the calm water, creating a shimmering scene that is truly unforgettable.
