Located on a winding mountain road in Longci, Wenheng Temple is a popular place of worship. Inside the spacious temple, in addition to the usual Taoist statues and ritual objects, there are also statues of heroes like Iron Man, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and the Hulk. Each statue is half a story tall and is affectionately called the 'guardians' by the temple staff, jointly protecting the temple and attracting a different kind of 'pilgrim'. 'Empty mountains, full of life' – the Kongshan Festival of Lights. In recent years, there's been another reason to visit Wenheng Temple. The 'Kongshan Festival,' held in winter, is in its second year as of 2020. Starting from Wenheng Temple, head to the nearby Huxingshan Park. Enter the park nestled within the trees and experience the charm of light art installations in the dark night. The plaza and old houses near the park are transformed during the festival of lights into a market and decorative art displays, showcasing a new yet ancient side of Longci.
