In Tainan, the "Hometown of Orchids," there is indeed another place: the Taiwan Orchid Plantation in Niuchupu, Shanshang District, Tainan. Founded by the "Godfather of Orchids," Wu Ming-kun, and his wife, the couple, who were originally dedicated to the orchid seedling improvement industry, realized over the years that such beautiful plants as orchids should be known and passed down to more people, allowing them to experience the charm of orchids. Thus, they established the Taiwan Orchid Plantation. The park features an orchid conservation area, orchid greenhouses, and an ecological garden, and admission is free. The park also has an attached restaurant.
