Tiantan Hu'an Temple. Originally named "Hu'an Temple" (formerly known as Wanggong Temple, also known as Wanggongting), it primarily worships Huguo Zunwang (the prime minister during the reign of Emperor Xiaowu of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, later promoted to Taibao and Dafu, surnamed Xie, given name An, courtesy name Anshi, alias Dongshan). Originally named "Hu'an Temple" (formerly known as Wanggong Temple, also known as Wanggongting), it primarily worships Huguo Zunwang (the prime minister during the reign of Emperor Xiaowu of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, later promoted to Taibao and Dafu, surnamed Xie, given name An, courtesy name Anshi, alias Dongshan), and Xiefu Yuanshuai (the chariot and cavalry general of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the son of Xie Yi, the elder brother of the second marshal Xie An, granted the vanguard flag by imperial decree, surnamed Xie, given name Xuan). Both were great heroes of the Battle of Feishui. Huguo Zunwang was brought to Taiwan by a general surnamed Xie, a subordinate of Koxinga (Zheng Chenggong), the Prince of Yanping, at the end of the Ming Dynasty. He was brought from Longxi County, Zhangzhou Prefecture, Fujian, and enshrined in the rear garrison of Xinhua. The rotating censer master worshipped him at home. Due to the lack of documented records and incomplete steles, only the recollections of ancestors provide a general understanding. According to the records in the Xinhua Township Gazetteer, in the second volume of "Continued Revision of Taiwan County Gazetteer," jointly compiled by Xie Jinluan, the instructor of Jiayi County School, and Zheng Bingcai, the instructor of Taiwan County School, in the 12th year of Jiaqing (1807 AD), Xue Zhiliang, the magistrate of Taiwan County, presided over the revision of the political gazetteer. The section on altars and temples recorded, "Xie Dongshan Temple is in Damujiang Village (worshipping Xie An of Jin, commonly known as Wanggong Temple, and the founding dates of Zhang Suiyang Temple are unknown. In the 29th year of Qianlong, villagers Yao Xingbang and others initiated repairs, and in the 59th year, Chen Guangmiao and others repaired it again)." The county gazetteer at that time, as well as the ancestral common names Wanggongting and Guanyinting, were both prominent in the earliest prosperous lower fort of Damujiang Street in the early Qing Dynasty. From this, it can be concluded that Wanggong Temple (Hu'an Temple) was indeed an ancient temple founded during the Kangxi era, which is clearly evident. To
