Houbi Shangjiadong Banyan Tree Corridor. Houbi District is located at the northernmost end of Tainan City, in the north-central part of the Chianan Plain, two kilometers south of the Bazhang River, and is a narrow, long plain formed by the alluvial deposits of the Bazhang River and the Jishui River. The area is 72.2189 square kilometers. Due to its abundant water resources, it is densely planted with rice and is the granary of the Chianan Plain, with a planting area of over 3,500 hectares, ranking first in the country. In addition, the warm climate and excellent soil have nurtured rich agricultural products, including rice, guava, Hami melon, and orchids.
