Neimen's Hong Family Old House is located in Erpu, Sanping Village, Neimen District. It is a traditional Southern Fujian-style building, with the earliest construction dating back to 1870. Due to its long history, it has undergone several additions by later generations, incorporating various other elements. The ancestral house features a "seven-room by three-room" layout, with seven main rooms and three rooms in the front. The two sections are connected by side wings and connecting corridors, forming a complete, enclosed quadrangle mansion, characteristic of wealthy families in the past. The materials used include red tiles, red brick facades, and earth-and-brick houses with bamboo and wood as beams. The curved roof beams resembling Guan Dao (a type of Chinese broadsword) under the eaves are a distinctive feature. This ancient and weathered old house allows visitors to appreciate the lyrical beauty of Southern Fujian architecture and witness the pioneering history of the ancestors.
