Located in Xianshuipu, southwest of Neidongli in the Neimen District, due to its geological badlands formed by gray-green rock, years of wind and rain erosion have sculpted magnificent cliffs and peaks. The Erren River further carves out rows of peaks, resembling a flock of geese in flight, hence the name. The scenery of Yenmen is ever-changing, with different moods at dawn, dusk, clear skies, and rain. Especially due to the dry soil, when it rains, the rising heat creates a misty spectacle, a dreamlike beauty that has been listed as one of the Eight Views of Taiwan since the Qing Dynasty. The Yenmen Misty Rain route features spectacular mountain ranges, winding valleys, and distant views of the Chianan Plain, making it a tourist route of ever-changing scenery and picturesque landscapes.
