During the Japanese colonial era, fierce conflicts arose due to the forceful pacification policy. The Duona tribe, located deep in the mountains, was never conquered. Therefore, the Japanese proposed a plan to build a suspension bridge for transporting food, under the name of "harmony and war," but in reality, it was to open up roads to implement their pacification policy. The suspension bridge was rebuilt in 1998 and holds historical significance, making it worth a visit.
