The Mangrove Qiedong River Conservation Area is located at the mouth of the Dianbao River in Ziguo District. Freshwater discharged from nearby fish farms and seawater tides converge in the wetland, providing a growth environment for mangrove plants such as Avicennia marina, Kandelia obovata, and the precious Aegiceras. As mangroves can protect coastlines, conserve water sources, and provide habitats for various organisms, their impact on the environment and ecology is profound. Therefore, the government designated this area as a conservation area in 1992 and specifically entrusted KeLiao Junior High School with its management, transforming it into a mangrove educational park. The park features wooden boardwalks and observation decks, along with regular guided tours. In addition to enjoying the natural beauty in a tranquil environment, it is also an excellent location for observing mangrove species and birdwatching.
