During Typhoon Morakot in 2009, the old Dijing Bridge's closely spaced piers were found to have obstructed driftwood and floodwaters, contributing to the breach of the Qishan levee and flooding in the urban area. After reconstruction in 2013, the pier spacing was widened and the old structure was reinforced, preserving this shared local memory. The Dijing Bridge is 536 meters long. In addition to serving as a safe passage for students commuting between Qishan and Qiwei, it is also a great spot for tourists to pause and admire the scenic mountain ranges and river views. At night, the illuminated piers and deck create a beautiful spectacle, complementing the distinct design of Qishan Bridge and making it the most stunning night view in Qishan.
