Fengshan Xianggong Temple. Located at the southern end of Fengshan, at the intersection of Guotai Road and Wujia Road, the temple's full name is "Fengshan Zhennan Palace". The origin of Xianggong Temple can be traced back to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, during the construction of Fengshan City. With a history of over two hundred years, when the pioneers came here to clear land and sow seeds, they built a temple at the southern gate of Fengshan City to pray for favorable weather and abundant harvests. The main deities worshipped are Lu Dongbin, Li Tieguai, and Shennong the Great. Xianggong Temple has undergone several renovations and expansions. In addition to the main hall, it also includes a five-gate structure, the Wenwu Sheng Hall, the Doumu Chen Palace, and the Lingxiao Baodian, forming a magnificent and spectacular Southern Fujian-style temple architecture. The intricately carved reliefs, wall decorations, dougong brackets, and stone pillars are solemn and beautiful. Among them, the Nine Dragon Pool in front of the temple and the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea screen wall are most talked about by pilgrims. Xianggong Temple is vast and magnificent, and with the Eight Immortals Park as its backyard, it appears even more extraordinary. During prayer ceremonies for the birthdays of various deities, or festivals such as the Lantern Festival, the Double Ninth Festival on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month, and the ritual of lighting the Big Dipper, it always attracts thousands of devotees, making it a timeless event for the folk customs and religious traditions of the Fengshan District.
