Fengyi Academy. Located next to the City God Temple, Fengyi Academy was built in 1814 and designated as a third-class historic site in 1985. Built by Zhang Tingqin, a candidate instructor and tribute student of Fengshan, it originally had 37 rooms. The academy originally enshrined the deities Wenchang, Kuichang, and Cang Sheng, and was equipped with tables and chairs. It was a place for scholars to study and take imperial examinations in ancient times. The architectural details are meticulously crafted, and it is the largest existing academy in Taiwan. The screen wall in front of the academy's entrance hall and the stone drums on both sides of the main gate demonstrate the careful consideration put into the academy's original architectural design. After renovation and planning in 2009, the park added many Q-version sculptures and two exhibition spaces, providing detailed introductions to the academy's history and artifact displays, making it both educational and entertaining.
