Maolin Valley — Maolin Valley is located at the confluence of the Zhuokou River and its tributary Musheng Stream on the east side of Maolin Village. Its original name was "Luomusi," which means "beautiful valley" in the Rukai language.

Northeast of Luomusi Suspension Bridge, in the wide Zhuokou River valley, a beautiful, deep blue pool can be seen. This is the Blue Water Pool, formed by the Zhuokou River's meandering through the rocky terrain and converging with the Musheng Stream. The Maolin Waterfall cascades down spectacularly, but the bottom of the Blue Water Pool has whirlpools, which locals jokingly call the "Maiden's Trap." It is not advisable to swim or play in the water. Visitors can enjoy the waterfall from the elegantly designed pavilion in front of the falls, immersing themselves in the magnificent natural scenery.
