King of Ducks Zhu Yigui is arguably the most famous figure in Neimen. He moved to Taiwan during the Qing Dynasty and, along with fifty-two loyalists, initiated Taiwan's most sensational anti-Qing restoration war, and was crowned emperor. Later, due to internal strife, he was eventually captured and killed by the Qing army. However, Zhu Yigui's heroic image is deeply ingrained in people's hearts, so the residents of Neimen built a temple and shrine for him, with the Duck Mother Shrine and Xing'an Temple planned together. In front of the temple, there is a well, which was the water well used by Zhu Yigui for drinking and raising ducks. It is said that using this well to make tea or cook duck eggs results in a particularly sweet and tender flavor.
