Upon entering the temple, you can see two special artifacts: a wooden plaque that reads "You Have Arrived" and a "Large Abacus." The "You Have Arrived" plaque signifies that everyone will eventually report to the City God, with its bold and powerful calligraphy. The "Large Abacus" symbolizes the meticulous calculation of one's merits and demerits, good and evil throughout their life. Coupled with the majestic City God seated on the main shrine, surrounded by the Four Constables and civil and military judges between the dimly lit hall pillars, and surrounded by admonishing couplets, it inspires awe. Although Fengshan City God Temple does not occupy a large area, its intricate carvings, resplendent gold and jade decorations, and magnificent exterior are impressive. Because the City God is believed to be a deity who clearly punishes evil and rewards good, and answers all prayers, people worship with deep devotion. Even today, if there are intractable disputes, parties involved are often brought here to swear an oath by beheading a chicken. Believers flock to the temple, and its popularity continues to grow, making it a local center of faith.
