In 2006, a new monument was finally established in the 228 Peace Memorial Park on the west bank of the Love River, near Zhongzheng 4th Road. The monument, designed with ergonomic angles and height, specifically details the beginning and end of the incident. A memorial wall inscribed with the names of 168 documented victims is set against lush, low-lying trees, guiding visitors into the memorial plaza. The overall design is elegant, solemn, and rich in humanistic and historical significance.
