Lide Baseball Stadium. Located on Zhongyi Road in Kaohsiung City, Lide Baseball Stadium was established during the Japanese colonial era. In 1974, it was renamed to commemorate the Lide Little League team's world championship victory in the 28th Little League World Series. The stadium has a seating capacity of 9,500 and is the only stadium in Taiwan with netting along all foul lines in the infield, allowing spectators to get a close-up view of the players. The outfield stands are covered, providing shade and rain protection. The city government renovated the stadium's hardware and software facilities to host the softball events for the 2009 World Games. The outfield stands were also dismantled and integrated with the Love River landscape. There are also plans to upgrade it into an international standard stadium, further enhancing the comprehensive functionality of this baseball field located in the city center.
