Sankuaicuo Station handled both passenger and freight services, with a primary focus on freight transportation. It made significant contributions to the transport of finished products from Taiwan Brick Company, located to its north. Overall, Sankuaicuo Station can be considered the second most important railway station, after the old Takao Station (now Kaohsiung Port Station), before the opening of the current Kaohsiung Railway Station in June 1941.
