[Evaluation Valid Period: 2023/11/09-2026/11/08] Since the Japanese colonial era, Chishang Township has been famous for producing "tribute rice". After a century, through the joint efforts of the Chishang Township Farmers' Association and local farmers, our rice mill has become a sacred place for producing champion rice. The Chishang Township Farmers' Association Tourist Factory - Golden Harvest Hall records all the secrets of creating golden Chishang rice, allowing you to witness the behind-the-scenes process of achieving champion rice. It is a deep travel destination suitable for outdoor education and family visits. The Chishang Township Farmers' Association Rice Mill was originally built by merchant Lin Shilian during the Japanese colonial era and was later sold to the Chishang Farmers' Association in 1948. In 1956, a fire destroyed all the factory buildings, machinery, and offices. Fortunately, local gentry meticulously planned and worked together, contributing money and effort to re-purchase the factory and machinery, allowing the Chishang Township Rice Mill to continue. The Chishang Township Farmers' Association Rice Mill currently occupies 1.2 chia and is equipped with advanced large-scale drying machines and low-temperature refrigerated silos, as well as newly imported Japanese hulling machines, polishing machines, and peripheral equipment. With an investment of over NT$100 million, it is one of the most advanced rice mills in the country. The high-quality rice produced by this mill has become a Taiwanese boutique, not only winning the national rice competition for three consecutive years but also successfully entering the Japanese market.
