[Evaluation Valid Period: 2024/11/26~2027/11/25][Excellence Valid Period: 2009/11/25~2012/11/24] Announcement: The opening date for this factory's tourist attraction is still undecided. It is recommended that visitors inquire beforehand. Thank you. I-Mei was founded in 1934. From a small pastry shop in Taipei during the Japanese colonial era to one of Taiwan's well-known pastry enterprises today, I-Mei has, for over seventy years, consistently upheld the spirit of 'sincerity and integrity' in pastry making, accompanying Taiwanese people through their golden years. In 2006, to inherit Chairman Kao Teng-chiao's philosophy that 'making pastries is an honest person's trade, a business of conscience,' the 'I-Mei Demonstration, Training, and Learning Center' was established at the Nankan factory in Taoyuan. In 2009, it was renamed the 'I-Mei Food Production, Ecology, and Life Factory' and was certified as an excellent tourist factory by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the same year. A visit to the I-Mei tourist factory will satisfy the taste buds of gourmets. The air is filled with the aroma of pastries, bread, and rich coffee. From biscuits, candies, and cooking ingredients to ice cream, the products are abundant and diverse, delivered fresh from the factory, delicious, safe, and hygienic. The vibrant I-Mei Ecological Park displays production machinery that bears witness to the company's historical journey; an elegant historical exhibition area.
