◆ A Legacy of Delicious Flavors: The Emperor's Favorite Mountain Bananas
Blessed with a unique climate and fertile soil, Jiji mountain bananas are exceptionally delicious. They are fragrant, sweet, juicy, and have a delightful chewiness, offering a distinct flavor. In the past, the Japanese Emperor specifically requested Jiji mountain bananas with a "thousand" character on their label as a tribute. From the 1950s to the 1970s, mountain bananas were extensively exported, bringing not only substantial economic income but also rich culture and history to the Jiji Line.
◆ Unique Natural Geography
Mountain bananas are cultivated in mountainous areas at an average elevation of 250 meters or more. Due to good drainage and significant temperature differences between day and night, the growth period of mountain bananas is 2-3 times longer than that of lowland bananas. This results in mountain bananas with an exceptionally fragrant and chewy taste, firm flesh that isn't mushy, and rich, springy pectin.

Under the guidance of a master, we gradually transitioned from amateur to professional, creating the "Jiyuan Fruit - Taiwan Dried Fruit" brand. In 2012, we established the "Jiji Mountain Banana History and Culture Museum," and in 2016, we founded the "Jijibanana Jiyuan Fruit Tourism Factory." We aim to integrate mountain bananas with Jiji's culture, hoping that while savoring the taste, people can also reminisce about the golden banana era of the past.
