[Evaluation Valid Period: 2024/05/09~2027/05/08] Xihe Aquaculture began in the 1920s, originally fishing in the waters of Guishan Island. In 1957, Grandma established 'Xihe Fishery', building a simple 'fish processing shed' on the coast of Wai'ao to process nearshore aquatic products such as whitebait, sand lance, four-spot herring, and small squid. In the 1970s: The second generation used self-made machinery to grade and package processed fish products to improve quality, distributing products to central and southern Taiwan by small trucks, gradually establishing a reputation and sales channels. In 2006, the third generation relocated the factory to the Lize Industrial Park, transforming it into a modern food processing plant. The main raw materials come from the pure and pollution-free waters of Yilan's Guishan Island, produced through strict and safe processing procedures in an HACCP-certified factory. The 'Xihe Third Generation Exhibition Hall' was established, which not only showcases Yilan's fish processing shed culture but also combines factory tours with tourism and leisure, direct sales, development of local OTOP brands, and development of organic market channels. General Manager Mr. Jian Da-xin received the 2011 National 'Top Ten Farmers' Award, the Council of Agriculture's 'Aquatic Product Excellence' Award, and the Technology-Based Agricultural Enterprise Innovation Award. On January 1, 2021, the brand-new Xihe Aquaculture Exhibition Hall not only upgraded the original production equipment but also specially dedicated 65 years of corporate history.
