When driving from Hualien City and passing the hairpin turn here, the scenery suddenly changes from the lush green mountains and forests on both sides to the vast Pacific Ocean, with the Coastal Mountain Range standing tall. Stepping onto this lookout and gazing eastward, the azure blue of the Pacific Ocean is enough to make you forget the hardships of the journey. To the south, you can also overlook the summit of Dashi Biling Mountain on the south side of Jixi Bay.
