Chongguang Village · Lingxiao Pagoda. Before the Penghu Cross-Sea Bridge was built, the area between Tongliang and Xiyu was commonly known as 'Houmen'. Before the Penghu Cross-Sea Bridge was built, the area between Tongliang and Xiyu was commonly known as 'Houmen'. The environment seemed as if the sea would rush directly towards the village. Furthermore, the western end of Chongguang Village is called Caoziwei, which used to be the site of Magong's First Public Cemetery. Therefore, Lord Chi of Weiling Temple instructed that a pagoda be built to counteract the geographical deficiency, and it was named 'Lingxiao Pagoda'. The gourd at the top of the pagoda faces all directions and, together with the 'Zhangshui God Stone Tablet' between Riyue Lake, jointly protects the entire village.
