The villagers sought help from Zhenyi Temple, and Lord Li Sansui then revealed that: "A certain tomb in Houying faces north and south, directly facing the village. A pagoda must be built immediately to counteract the evil spirits to ensure the safety of the villagers." Later, a pagoda was chosen to be built next to Zhongying in the village, hence the name Zhongying Stone Pagoda.
