Notably, at the entrance to the exhibition hall stands the 'Haoshan Hall' stone tablet. The inscription records how, 130 years ago, the gentry of the Wang'an area raised funds to protect sea turtles and draft animals. The tablet clearly stated that residents would be rewarded for showing compassion towards life, and that offenders would be heavily fined with the approval of the authorities, demonstrating both benevolence and authority. This inscription has now become an important testament to the early settlers' efforts in sea turtle conservation. Upon entering the Green Sea Turtle Tourism and Conservation Center, visitors are first greeted by the exhibition hall. To the right is the audio-visual briefing room, which screens a presentation every hour from 10 AM to 4 PM daily.
