At an elevation of 53 meters, the grassland plateau of Tiantai Mountain is the highest peak on Wang'an Island. Nearby is a famous agate-producing area in Penghu. The grasslands surrounding the mountain are flat, with occasional cattle and sheep grazing, creating a naturally beautiful landscape. Tiantai Mountain has become the best spot for viewing Wang'an Island and the distant Huayu Island. The rock strata of Tiantai Mountain are mainly composed of micro-diorite porphyry, with sheet-like joints. Below the sea cliff on the west side, there is a spectacular basalt landscape. Following the trail down to the west coast, one can discover a magnificent 30-meter-high sea cave. The beauty of the sheet-like joints in the micro-diorite porphyry differs from the columnar basalt landscapes of Hujing and Tongpan Islands. The interlaced sheet-like joints of Tiantai Mountain form beautiful "stone flowers".
