Nearby is a famous agate producing area in Penghu. The grassland around the mountain is flat, with occasional cattle and sheep grazing, creating a naturally beautiful landscape. Tiantai Mountain has become the best spot for viewing Wang'an Island and Huayu Island on the opposite shore. The rock strata of Tiantai Mountain are mainly microdiorite porphyry blocks, with sheet-like joints. Below the sea cliff on the west side, there is a spectacular basalt landscape. Following the trail down to the west coast, you can discover a magnificent 30-meter-high sea cave. The beauty of the sheet-like joints of the microdiorite porphyry is different from the columnar basalt landscapes of Hujing and Tongpan Islands. The interlocked sheet-like joints of Tiantai Mountain form beautiful "stone flowers".
