Jiangjunao Islet, only one nautical mile away from Wang'an Island, is only one-fifth the size of Wang'an Island, but its population is close to that of Wang'an Island. The residents of Jiangjunao Islet became wealthy early on by collecting coral and aragonite, thus it was very prosperous with buildings lining the streets, possessing a port town atmosphere different from other islands, hence the names "Little Hong Kong" and "Little Kaohsiung". Currently, most residents make a living by fishing. On the west side of the island, there is a General Temple, which, along with Yong'an Temple and Tianhou Temple, are the centers of villagers' faith. The decorations and inscriptions within these three temples reveal a history closely related to the rise and fall of the fishing industry. Around Jiangjunao Islet are many islands. On the east coast is "Chuanfan Islet", named for its sail-like shape. It is connected to Jiangjunao Islet during low tide and is a typical tombolo, hence it is also called "Jiangmen Islet". There is also the uninhabited "Wangyou Island", which boasts beautiful coral reef ecosystems. You can explore the famous snorkeling spot, Jinguazi Reef.
