Since the Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area Administration of the Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications entrusted the operation and development of Dapeng Bay to private enterprise in 2004, the Dapeng Bay International Development Co., Ltd., responsible for the overall development, has named the development area - Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area, based on its development characteristics and vision. Dapeng Bay's profound natural resources and history and culture are planned to encompass three major themes of leisure and recreation: land, sea, and air. It boasts a vast area, Taiwan's best marine base, and an air activity zone. These unique natural conditions make Dapeng Bay a unique and superior land in Taiwan. Currently, the park includes a variety of tourism resources and experience activities, including Taiwan's first legal light sport aircraft flying club, offering visitors light sport aircraft experience flights, short-term pilot training, and license training. It has been approved by the Civil Aeronautics Administration and will be able to conduct point-to-point flights. Light sport aircraft experience flights are not limited to the airspace of Dapeng Bay but also extend to Pingtung Saijia Aviation Park. The north-south route is about 40 kilometers long, and along the way, visitors can enjoy the scenery of mountains and rivers, and pastoral landscapes.
