Located at the mouth of the Dapeng Bay area on the Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area's coastal road (next to Qingzhou Recreation Area), the landscape bridge was completed and opened in March 2011. It is the first opening landscape bridge in Taiwan designed to accommodate the passage of sailboats. In the future, with the development of the BOT yacht harbor, it will allow large sailboats to enter and exit, promoting international-class yachting and marine recreational activities. It will further form a "golden triangle" of yachting activities with the Kaohsiung Love River Tourist Wharf. The Penghu Cross-Sea Bridge is 579 meters long and 30 meters wide, with a main tower height of 71 meters above the water. The highest point of the Penghu Cross-Sea Bridge above the water is 17 meters (with a span of approximately 70 meters). The opening span is 20 meters to meet the needs of various types of recreational vessels entering and exiting. Its design is a single-tower asymmetrical single-plane composite cable-stayed bridge, featuring a unique three-dimensional design (unlike the typical two-dimensional bridge design). Viewed from the front, it resembles a roc bird holding an object; from the side, it looks like a bowing maiden; and from the back, it resembles the English letter 'A'. The movable bridge deck only takes 2 minutes to open to a 75-degree angle. There is also an opening ceremony show every Saturday and Sunday at 5 PM. At night, with lighting, it not only provides a beautiful scenic image but also serves as a landmark for vessels engaged in maritime operations and recreational activities.
