The weir draws water from the Shizitou Pass in the upper reaches of the Zhuoshui River, storing and utilizing it to supply water for agricultural irrigation in central and southern Taiwan. The weir body is 353.5 meters long and is equipped with eighteen flood discharge gates, four sediment discharge gates, and one fish ladder. Its storage capacity is approximately 9.44 million cubic meters, which can provide water for the Yunlin Lidao Industrial Park, downstream agricultural use, and public water supply, demonstrating its outstanding functionality. The Jiji Weir Management Center, located next to the Jiji Weir, is affiliated with the Central Region Water Resources Branch of the Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs. It was completed and put into operation in 2002 and serves as the central hub for controlling the operation of the Jiji Weir. It is also the dispatching unit responsible for allocating Zhuoshui River water resources to downstream agricultural, domestic, and industrial users according to operational regulations.
