It is a natural trail about 600 meters long, combining rich historical and cultural landscapes with natural ecological scenery. This trail was once an ancient path for the Thao ancestors to travel to and from Puli Community to "collect tribal taxes" and was also an important site for the Yuan clan chief to hold ancestral spirit rituals, retaining a strong indigenous cultural significance. Before Sun Moon Lake was impounded, this section of the trail was also an important salt-carrying ancient road, where tribal members carried salt back and forth along this route. A statue of a porter is erected near the lake, symbolizing this historical memory. The trail along the Sun Moon Lake shore is densely wooded with abundant wildlife. Visitors can admire native plants and birds along the winding forest path and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sun Moon Lake from the viewing platform.
