Due to its special peat soil, the ground is soft and rich in organic matter, giving a peculiar wave-like shaking sensation when stepped on, hence it is also known as "dancing land" or "Mambo Field," one of Taiwan's rare geological wonders. Toushe Living Museum has formed fertile peat soil over thousands of years of aquatic plant accumulation. It was a shallow lake in the past, and later became a basin due to siltation. This soil is very suitable for agriculture, especially famous for loofah cultivation, and is one of the largest loofah producing areas in Taiwan. In addition, it also cultivates honeysuckle, vegetables, and other diverse agricultural products. Local residents have developed safe agriculture and leisure agriculture in this land, combining ecological conservation and environmental education to promote slow rural tourism. Visitors to Toushe Living Museum can experience the unique peat soil stepping sensation, visit historical scenes such as the Grandma's Laundry, admire the rural painted village scenery, and participate in agricultural experience activities such as loofah herbal handmade soap DIY and loofah noodle DIY. The area also offers river bamboo raft tours, allowing visitors to appreciate the basin scenery and rich aquatic plant ecology from the water surface.
