It takes about 20 to 30 minutes for a leisurely stroll to complete. This trail connects three well-known local temples, including Xuanzang Temple and Xuanguang Temple. Because it was historically a route for pilgrims to visit Xuanguang Temple, it is also known as the Pilgrimage Trail. The trail is infused with strong Buddhist cultural elements, featuring moss sculptures such as a mountain gate, scriptures, young monks, and a Heart Sutra planter. Utilizing Sun Moon Lake's unique high-temperature and high-humidity climate, the trail is filled with religious ambiance and artistic beauty. The scenery along the way is beautiful. The plaza in front of Xuanzang Temple offers an excellent view, allowing visitors to overlook Lalu Island, Hanbi Peninsula, and Shuishe Pier, taking in the breathtaking lake and mountain scenery and experiencing the charming allure of Sun Moon Lake. The surrounding area of the trail is lush and green, rich with fragrant flowers such as Michelia, Night-blooming Jasmine, Jasmine, and Orange Jessamine. Walking along the trail allows you to enjoy the forest's phytoncides, listen to birdsong, and experience a tranquil and leisurely pilgrimage. Qinglong Mountain Trail is conveniently accessible. Visitors can enter from Xuanzang Temple or Xuanguang Temple, both of which have parking lots.
