The floor in front of the temple also features dragon and phoenix patterns, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship and cultural heritage. Another major feature of Longfeng Temple is its Yue Lao Shrine. Originally, the Yue Lao Shrine was built on Sun Moon Lake's Lalu Island (Guanghua Island) and established in 1980, becoming Taiwan's first temple primarily dedicated to Yue Lao. It also hosted water group weddings, attracting numerous couples and tourists. The 921 earthquake in 1999 destroyed the Yue Lao Pavilion on Lalu Island. Following a petition from local residents, the statue of Yue Lao was relocated to Longfeng Temple at the end of 2000, officially enshrined here, becoming an important hub for Yue Lao worship in central Taiwan. Today, Longfeng Temple's Yue Lao Shrine is bustling with worshippers, with many single individuals coming from afar to pray for a good match.
