It winds through a bamboo forest path, ending in a circular route along the waterfront. The trail passes through a beautiful Moso bamboo forest, rich in native trees and ferns. There are several *Manglietia* trees along the path that bloom with white flowers in the summer, making them highly ornamental. Along the way, you can observe the lively ecosystem of butterflies dancing, birds flying, fish leaping, and frogs hopping. A bronze sculpture of "frogs stacking up" is set up by the lake, vividly telling the origin of the place name and serving as an indicator for water level changes. The little story of the Nine Frogs sculpture: The original design of the Nine Frogs was created by Mr. Lu Zhaoliang of Qingjing Company, who was commissioned by the Nantou County Scenic Area Administration to design the Froggy Tower Trail before the 921 earthquake. The prototype was sculpted by Mr. Shen Zhengying, a renowned artist in the Sun Moon Lake area. The plan was to install frog sculptures on the water at the end of the trail to reinforce the place name "Froggy Tower." The image of frogs stacking up was intended to highlight the interesting phenomenon of Sun Moon Lake's pumped-storage hydroelectricity, which causes a water level fluctuation of nearly two meters daily. Visitors may notice that the number of frogs exposed above the water varies at different times of the day or during different visits, thus discovering the extremely important aspect of Sun Moon Lake's pumped-storage hydroelectricity.
