Starting from Xiangshan Visitor Center and cycling clockwise around the lake, the route passes through Shuishe, which is slightly crowded with people and traffic. This section of the road is flat. From Jiulongkou towards Wenwu Temple, the terrain is steeper. Especially the section from in front of The Lalu Hotel to Wenwu Temple, you will feel the ride is more strenuous. In front of Wenwu Temple (next to Jingsheng Building), there is a small platform where you can rest briefly and enjoy the lake view, making you forget your fatigue for a moment. After a short break, set off again, with alternating downhill and uphill sections, feeling the wind. Passing by the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway Station, looking up at the sky, you can see the cable cars shuttling back and forth. In winter, pink cherry blossoms bloom beautifully here. At noon, you can choose to eat in the Ita Thao shopping district, taste the most authentic Thao cuisine, or replenish your supplies here before setting off again! When you reach Ci'en Pagoda and Xuanzang Temple, as they are located at a high altitude, you can overlook and gaze down at the beautiful lake scenery of Sun Moon Lake from here. After the big uphill turn at the Xuan Guang Temple parking lot, it's a downhill ride to Toushe. Please pay attention and ride safely on this section. Finally, the route from Toushe back to Xiangshan Visitor Center is very steep and considered high intensity. This is because some sections of the cycling path have not yet been connected.
