Nanzhuang Visitor Center. Established on April 20, 2003, the Nanzhuang Visitor Center is the first visitor center under the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, to receive a green building label. The building meets the four major indicators of greening, site water retention, daily energy saving, and water resources. It is adjacent to Nanzhuang Old Street and was inaugurated on January 17, 2009. Nanzhuang was once prosperous in forestry and mining, but it has since been replaced by tourism and leisure industries. It is a township where diverse cultures blend. Therefore, the interior of the visitor center incorporates Hakka and indigenous elements, offering visitors travel information, consultation services, attraction introductions, multimedia video guides, and free experiences of indigenous and Hakka attire. It also provides convenient and thoughtful services such as Wi-Fi (iTaiwan), electric vehicle charging, luggage storage, and rentals of wheelchairs, umbrellas, and reading glasses.
