The Tsou sacred flower, Dendrobium, is planted on the roof ridges and along the sides of the stairs, symbolizing the tribal emblem recognizable by the gods (homo). The Ficus geniculata next to it is the 'sacred tree' (yono), which is said to be the ladder for the gods to descend to the tribe. Currently, existing Kuba structures can only be found in the two major communities of Tefuye and Dabang in Taiwan.
